I’ve been getting this question a lot lately: does living abroad change how you see your own country? ✈️ The short answer? Yes. The long answer is this video. I take you through quiet morning walks, busy market streets, and reflections that hit me in the most unexpected moments. The visuals shift from warm golden tones to cooler, more introspective blues—capturing that in-between feeling of belonging nowhere and everywhere at once. This isn’t a travel guide; it’s more like a visual journal of how distance reshapes perspective. If you’ve ever felt caught between two worlds, this one’s for you. What’s one thing you’ve noticed about your home after being away?

Lol I get what you mean about the portion sizes. I went to Europe for a month and when I came back I couldn't finish a single restaurant meal here haha

omg yes the grocery store thing threw me off too. Why do we have 50 kinds of cereal but no proper bread anywhere lol

bro the observation about small talk is spot on. In some countries people just stare at you on the bus and that's totally normal. Here if you don't say 'how's it going' people think you're rude.

Anyone else feel like America is both better and worse than they remember after traveling? It's such a weird feeling. I can't explain it but this vid did a good job trying.

This really hits home. I lived in Japan for 3 years and coming back to the US felt like culture shock all over again. The pace of life here is just... different.
